The flat jaws are flexible as they can be used for all kinds of jobs (loosing, tightening, holding). All without marring the work material.
They are available in a range of sizes depending on the job.
For the best “all-around” size, my recommendation would be the 7-1/4″ size as they are large enough for most tasks and take up minimal space in a toolkit. Perfect for a vehicle tool kit, boat, RV, airplane, atv and more.

What Makes Knipex Pliers the Best?
When it comes to needing a set of pliers there is a saying that –
“Any set of pliers is better than no set of pliers”
While this is true. When compared against other brands the Knipex really stand out for their overall quality and attention to detail.
The smoothness of the adjustment button, the locking/unlocking operation and even the plastic coating used on the handles is just….better.

How to use Adjustable Pliers
What is nice about having a set of adjustable pliers around is how easy they are to use.
Metric, Standard or Irregular sized bolts, it makes no difference
Simply press the “Push” button to adjust the jaws to the desired size and squeeze the jaws to clamp down.
Once clamped on, you can then tighten or loosen the part as needed.
To readjust, loosen your grip on the handles and reposition the pliers for the next turn.

As you can see from the video above, these pliers are super easy to use and provide superior gripping force vs an adjustable wrench.
